Yainer is one of Cuba’s foremost professional dancers and choreographers with extensive experience for stage and screen in contemporary dance, Cuban popular dance, specializing in Afro-Cuban folklore.

Prior to moving to the UK, Yainer spent four years as a full-time dancer with Ballet TVC Nacional – one of Cuba’s leading dance companies, and certainly the company with the widest repertoire, and 3 years as a principal dancer with Oro Negro, specialising in Afro-Cuban folklore, touring regularly throughout Europe.

His numerous UK performances and choreographic credits include dancing before her Majesty the Queen for the Commonwealth Observance at Westminster Abbey, the full-length theatre show ‘ASERE: On My Mind’ with a cast of 10 which debuted at Glasgow’s Mitchell Theatre in October 2011 and constant appearances at UK’s biggest Salsa Congresses such as the London and Bournmouth Salsa congresses, Afro Cuban Salsa Fiesta in Norwich and Salsa Feel The Heat in Wigan.

Since his arrival in 2010, Yainer has wowed the dancing public of Scotland by being the legend that he is, and in July 2014 joined forces with Anneta Tampuori, Ori’s Managing Director, to continue helping others discover their passion for dance!
